Kellie Holmstrom, D.V.M
Dr. Holmstrom received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1985. In her free time she enjoys alpine skiing, kayaking, and being a soccer mom. Dr. Holmstrom is also active in our community and is currently a school board member for Marquette Schools.
Dale Aho, D.V.M
Dr. Aho received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1973. Dr. Aho is our large animal veterinarian and often spends most of the Spring on farm calls. His hobbies include fly fishing, traveling to Alaska and Montana, and reading Tom Clancy novels.
Kelly Mead, D.V.M
Dr. Mead received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2000. She practiced in the Detroit and Lansing areas for over five years before moving back to Marquette. She and her husband have two children and three dogs. Her favorite activities in the U.P. are running, fishing, and spending family time at their camp.
Jo Gerrish, D.V.M.
Dr. Gerrish graduated from Michigan State University with a BS/DVM degree. She worked in downtown Detroit and in Belleville, Michigan for 8 years. She moved to the U.P. with her husband Paul a dentist where he started his own practice Dr. Gerrish continued to work with animals. They live in Harvey with three loveable English Cockers named Willie, Gracie and Solo. Hobbies include showing and working with her dogs, horseback riding, gardening and music. She has a weakness for peanut M&M's. Paul and Jo have 4 children that live in the Chicago area with their families.
Laura Klar, D.V.M.
Dr. Klar received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University. After practicing in the Los Angeles area for two years, she and her husband recently returned to the Marquette area. Dr. Klar's husband, Peter Pless, is a professor at NMU. Dr. Klar joined the AMC staff in March of 2006. Her family includes a boxer, "Roxy", and two cats, "Wilson" & "Zoom". Dr. Klar is a mentor for the Student Leader Fellowship Program at NMU and is a member of the Zonta Club of Marquette. In her spare time, Dr. Klar enjoys playing tennis, hiking, reading, traveling, eating chocolate, and shopping.
Dr. Aho is married and has a young daughter and currently resides in Marquette, Michigan.
